TO:        CRMA Member Publishers and Associate Members

FROM:   C. James Dowden, Executive Director

The program is now available for the CRMA Fall Publishers’ Round Table, which will be held at the Pfister Hotel, Milwaukee, WI. Built in 1893, this has been the premier downtown Milwaukee hotel for over a century, and continues to celebrate a tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. From the moment CRMAThe Pfister Hotel members arrive, you’ll notice the extraordinary architecture, and a welcoming ambiance marked by a priceless Victorian art collection which rivals that of any hotel in the world.

Program Chair Christine Allison of D Magazine has put together a program uniquely focused on issues every publisher is facing today. It will be well worth your investment to be there.

We are looking forward to good participation. The meeting and hotel details are as follows:

Linda Lundeen, Milwaukee Magazine and Gail Osterman, M Magazine, plan to show as a great time.  Milwaukee is well-located for easy access by many members, and there are competitive airfares and decent connections to most domestic cities.

Welcome Reception
Our hosts have arranged for a Friday Welcome reception at the world acclaimed Milwaukee Museum of Art, located on the waterfront downtown.  “The graceful Quadracci Pavilion is a sculptural, postmodern addition designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. Highlights of the building are the magnificent cathedral-like space of Windhover Hall, with a vaulted 90-foot-high glass ceiling; the Burke Brise Soleil, a moveable sunscreen with a 217-foot wingspan that unfolds and folds twice daily; and the Reiman Bridge, a pedestrian suspension bridge that connects the Museum to the city.”  It is an extraordinary public building that has changed the Downtown waterfront area..

Attendance Restricted to Publishers: Based on the input of members, to maintain the exclusivity and intimacy of the Publishers’ Round Table meeting, attendance is limited exclusively to publishers, owners and principals of member magazines. Non-member publications may not attend except by invitation. Attendance by Associate (Vendor) members is limited to those participating as sponsors only. Please contact Jim Dowden with any questions or if you need additional information regarding this policy.
