Great Lakes Publishing Company, The publishers of Cleveland Magazine, Inside Business Magazine, Lake Erie Living Magazine and Ohio Magazine seeks an experienced Events Manager to run high-profile events for our magazines.

We are looking for someone who is very organized and creative. They must be able to handle big picture planning and work hands on executing a wide range of event details. They should have a sound track record of managing people and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage event budgets
  • Work with caterer to plan menu
  • Work with AV vendor to prepare audio visual
  • Plan and execute event attendee marketing plans
  • Work with Publisher to create sponsorship opportunities
  • Coordinate event RSVP’s and registration
  • Develop and adhere to event plans, actions and milestones
  • Work with designers to create event marketing materials
  • Work with event facility to coordinate floor design and booth set-up
  • Coordinate sponsor booths and signage

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; (Degree preference in Business, Communication, Advertising, Marketing or related field).
  • At least 3 years of event planning experience.
  • event management experience preferred
  • Flexibility to attend evening or weekend events
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle a number of projects simultaneously
