The annual City and Regional Magazine Association Conference, May 30-June 1, is shaping up to be our best conference to date. New Orleans is a great city -- one that you and your colleagues are certain to enjoy visiting.

On Saturday, May 30, Steve Borseti, president of the Sandler Training affiliate, Strategy Sales, Inc., will present the optional ad sales workshop, "Empowering Your Magazine’s Salespeople in Tough Times" -- one that you won’t want to miss. Also, publishing consultant Seija Goldstein of NYC will give the results of the annual Financial Standards Survey, offering participating publishers invaluable, vital information on how their publications measure up within the industry.

On Sunday, May 31 at lunch, 5280: Denver’s Magazine Executive Editor Maximillian Potter will introduce Susan Lyne and host a conversational Q&A entitled, "How to Maximize the Power of Your Magazine, Everywhere," in this challenging economy. After serving as the managing editor of the Village Voice, Ms. Lyne became the founding editor of Premiere Magazine. Currently, she is CEO of the Gilt Groupe, a member-based online retailer of luxury fashion.
